Education

The QHNCC is committed to promoting education and public awareness of head and neck cancer in Queensland, throughout Australia and Southeast Asia. This program consists of three sub programs.

  1. Educate doctors from Southeast AsiaCampbell Schmidt
    • Health professionals are being trained at QHNCC in a range of otolaryngological techniques that will be transferable and sustainable in their own country.
      • International doctors.
  2. Train and educate Health Professionals and Scientists from Queensland and Southeast Asia
    • International and Australian Healthcare Professionals, involved in the care of patients with head and neck cancer, are being educated on recent advances in diagnosis and management of this disease.
      • Medical (Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, ENT and Plastic Surgery and Palliative Care) and Allied Health professionals.
  3. Deliver a masters program, through the School of Medicine at UQ, to health professionals in the management of head and neck cancer
    • QHNCC is facilitating students to become expert practitioners in the multi-disciplinary management of head and neck cancers.
      • For medical and allied health workers.
