Epidemiology

Worldwide, cancers of the head and neck are becoming more common. There is also mounting evidence of a change in the epidemiology (incidence and distribution) of these cancers towards younger people. We aim to try to understand the cause of the changes in the epidemiology of head and neck cancers by investigating demographics, human papillomavirus (HPV) status and life-style as well as integrating cellular, genetic and clinical factors.
